Package Options

     Gastineau Log Homes was one of the first companies to go beyond a basic log home package to offer customers a very complete structural package. Today customers can choose from several log home kits to get the one best suited to their needs. Our Log Wall Plus includes the basic logs and beams and necessary fasteners and sealants. Our Traditional package provides materials necessary to complete a dried-in shell. Our Deluxe package is one of the most complete log home packages available. All Gastineau log home kits include design services, blueprints and materials list as well as our exclusive Quality Assurance Visit. In addition to standard package components, we offer a variety of options to enhance and customize your log home. plus, one of our Building Smart™ Construction Seminars can provide you with the skills to tackle general contracting or constructing your own Gastineau log home.

Any of our log home packages is also available as a "No hassle" kit. These are packages that contain no design changes from our standard catalog blueprints. If you see one of our plans that you like and don’t anticipate making modifications to the blueprints, a No Hassle Package can save you money. Ask one of our sales representatives for details.

If you prefer not to have solid log walls, we offer Therma-log, insulated log wall packages. Our Therma-log system consists of a tongue and groove half log applied to conventional wall framing. Therma-log houses do not require any special construction methods to allow for settling and allow you the flexibility to cover the inside of exterior walls with something other than log.

Traditional Package

All materials included in the Log Wall Plus Package, plus:

• Roof framing (trusses or 2”x12” rafters, 5/8” sheathing, felt, roof designed for 40lb. snow loads)
• Soffit framing
• Quaker™ Low “E” Argon wood windows with aluminum exterior cladding with screens and grilles
• Pre-hung insulated steel exterior doors with extended jambs
• Therma-Tru Classic Craft front door prehung on extended solid oak jambs
• Porch roof framing and sheathing

• Splined door and window bucks, precut for the rough openings

Deluxe Kit Package

All materials in the Traditional Package above, plus:

• Complete first story sub-floor system with Timber Strand girders, select structural 2 X 10 joists and AdvanTech sheathing

• 30-year warranty fiberglass shingles (rustic cut) by Owens Corning

What is “No Hassle” Kit Pricing?
 
The materials included in the “No Hassle” kits are the same as those listed above for our four standard kits. The “No Hassle” program is special pricing for kit purchases that have No Changes from the standard plan design and kit materials. Any changes you desire must be done on the job site without blueprint changes by GLH. Ask your GLH Sales Representative about this special discount program.

Delivery
 
Prices include delivery to the location, or within the mileage indicated. (Customer must provide forklift.)

Payment Schedule
25% deposit with order, 25% 45 days prior to delivery, balance on delivery
Lay-a-Way Plan available (holds price for up to three years)

Why slab and basement package prices?
 
Different materials are needed for a slab or foundation (basement or crawl space) construction.  “Basement” kit prices include two additional courses of logs. “Deluxe Basement” kits include a sub-floor system. (Gastineau encircles your first floor with logs. We don’t set the logs on your sub-floor.)

Therma-Log™

Oak or pine Thermal™ log home kits are available at the same price as Solid Log kits. Thermal™ kits include 3”x8” tongue and groove round half-logs for exterior with full log corners, 2”x6” framing with 6” batt insulation, vapor barrier, 7/16” sheathing, (interior wall covering is optional).
