QUICK START KITS
The Quick Start Kit includes the Log Wall Kit Plus items listed above plus:
Smart Match System gables: Including framing, sheathing, insulation
(Siding included above).
Smart Match System dormers: Including framing, sheathing, insulation.
(Exterior Siding included above; Interior Siding is not included).
Roof system: 2 X 12 -24" O.C. Rafters and/or trusses as required,
5/8" sheathing and roof felt paper (Shingles are not included) Some kits may
include glu-lam or other structural beams.
Soffit framing.
Hurd Aluminum Clad Low E glass Windows with screens and grilles.
Hurd Aluminum Clad Low E glass sliding and swinging patio doors with
screens and grilles.

Exterior Doors: Therma-Tru Classic Fiber insulated front door with stain kit;

First story subfloor system - Treated sill plates, Oak posts, Timberstrand
girders, 2 X 10 joists, 3/4" T & G Advantax sheathing, metal bridging and
subfloor adhesive.
Pine Basement Stairs.
Second story 2"X 6" T & G Pine decking.
Shingles: 25 year Elk Prestique Plus High Definition.
Fascia: 1" X 6" Western Red Cedar.
Soffit: 1" X 8" T & G Incense Cedar.
Porch ceiling: 1" X 6" T & G Incense Cedar.
Porch framing and decking: Pressure treated girders, joists and 5/4"
redried radius edge decking.

OPTIONS
Gastineau Log Homes offers a wide variety of options that allow the customer to tailor a home to meet their individual tastes. Although options are most often thought of as being additional items added to our standard deluxe kit for aesthetic reasons, options may be added to the structure in order to meet local building codes or to withstand the riggers of extreme floor, snow, wind, or hurricane loads.

Options to meet requirements for local building codes:
Building codes vary throughout the United States. In fact, they vary even within counties. For this reason, it is not cost effective to design GLH standard kits to fit all possible code requirements. The following options may be required in your local building jurisdiction.
Subfloor system - floor joists upgraded to TJI or floor trusses.
Shingles - upgrade to 30 or 40 year shingles for applications in high wind areas or if the shingles are going to be installed during very cold weather.
