Gastineau Log Homes, Inc offers a lifetime warranty on all the wood products it
produces. A ten year warranty can be transferred to a subsequent buyer of the home.

MATERIAL QUANTITY GUARANTEES
Estimating the total cost of construction can be difficult. You can take a set of blueprints to the local lumberyard and ask for a material price to build the home. They will give you a list of materials and a price for those materials. They will not guarantee that they have included enough materials to actually build the home. Gastineau Log Homes guarantees that you will have enough materials to build the home as it is designed and quoted. The initial quote will give you an exact listing of the materials that you will receive in your kit so there are no misunderstandings.
QUALITY ASSURANCE VISIT
GLH construction experts will visit your job site during construction to ensure that your home is built in accordance with the GLH Construction Manual. This visit is included with all of our full log kits.
CONSTRUCTION SEMINAR
GLH offers two types of seminars. One is focused on the interests of the homeowner while the other seminar is only for professional builders. These two day seminars include all the information you need to prepare for the delivery of your kit, to plan the construction process, and the actual hands-on tips of how to build your home properly. The homeowner seminar is highly recommended for all log home buyers. Builders are welcome at either seminar. The builder only seminar includes more technical construction details and provides an opportunity for builders from throughout the country to share ideas and techniques used in log home construction.
SPLIT DELIVERIES
Many people don't want to take delivery of their entire kit of building materials at one time. GLH offers you the option of split deliveries. You can have the kit delivered in full truck loads as you need the materials.

GRADED LOGS
Gastineau Log Homes, Inc. provides logs that are graded in accordance with ASTM D3957, "Standard Methods for Establishing Stress Grades for Structural Members Used in Log Building." Graded logs are required by all three national building codes.
LOGS AROUND THE SUBFLOOR
If you are building on a basement or crawlspace, GLH will include two rows of logs to encircle, or go around, your subfloor. This small but important construction detail provides a stronger and more energy efficient method of construction. It also is more aesthetically appealing, since the subfloor is not exposed. Most log home companies set their log walls on top of the subfloor.
